Huh?
Well, since you found your way to this webSITE, you might try looking for yourself.

Mike:
Check the Layouts and Layout Building forum on this website–it tends to be more specific than the General Discussion section of the forum–for instance articles on weathering track show up pretty frequently, also detailed discussions on such things as layout construction, types of scenery, specific locomotives and car detailing. It gets a lot more involved with the ‘nuts and bolts’ details of specific modeling.

Tom,
Thanks bud, that was I was looking for.
Bob,
Nice reply, if you couldn’t help why answer me. A pastor huh?
963 posts and you don’t know what is on this site?
Are you funnin’ us or what?
Aw, C’mon, CNW, I didn’t hit Layouts and Layout Building until I was around post #2000, LOL! You get on ‘General Discussion’, it’s kinda hard to get off because the posters are so much fun!
Tom [:P]
oops- my bad.
Layouts? Layout Building? I can’t wait!
BTW- what is generally discussed on the General Discussion site?
CNW:
This is the site where we generally just toss ideas around about general model railroading. It’s also got sites such as WPF and Elliot’s Trackside Diner where we share our photos and get to know each other a little better.
On Layouts and Layout Building, we get more into the ‘nitty-gritty’ of modeling, such as discussing scenery techniques, track-laying, improving locomotive performance, detailing and weathering. It’s more ‘technical’ than ‘general’. For instance, if I wanted to discuss how to super-detail a specific locomotive, or good layout construction techniques, I’d go on Layouts and Layout Building, If I wanted to just discuss why a certain Mfgr doesn’t put out a locomotive I’d like to see, I’d stick to General Discussion.
I guess you’d say it’s the difference between discussing the entire forest and a specific tree.
