A brass or plastic FEC 4-6-2 one of these went on to become the famous S&A 750 which made many excursion runs here in the south! This engine has never been produced in either brass or pastic.
The SD60M in both 2 window and 3 window versions was produced by Proto 2000 in HO a couple of years ago - good runners with a realistic top speed. They are listed as sold out on the Walthers web site though I’m sure they turn up on ebay and can still be found in some stores.
As for the GP39M - These models on BN were rebuilt GP30’s or GP35’s and retained some of the original carbody - the ex GP30 versions have that distinctive cab profile that only a GP30 had for example. I know of no ready to run models of these 2 though a experienced modeller could kitbash a model GP30 or GP35 to a more correct version.
A DM&IR M-3/4 Yellowstone, but several others and myself have been asking for this for YEARS, and all that happens is someone else comes out with another Big Boy.
Yes–thanks to Genesis, another bright spot on the steam loco horizon. If it’s half the runner of their Challenger, there will be a LOT of happy campers out here in the West, LOL! I am looking forward to that little devil, even though I’ve got a really nice Balboa of the same. But hey–one can never have too many MT’s, IMO.
