If you have built your layout to represent a specific day in history what day is it, for example mine is based on a Saturday, that way the industry’s can be devoid of activity except for some switching, but there will still be lots of mainline action,

Mine can be any day other than a Saturday or Sunday - there isn’t quite as much freight train traffic occurring on weekends.

I voted for Sunday, as that’s the main day I model. See, I model a little branchline, and it gets only enough traffic to warrent two local trains a week, Sunday and Thurday. I usually don’t run both days though, so I just run the Sunday run of the train. But occasionally I break off and run a middle of the week run, as if I want to run a Ballast train I don’t do that on Sundays, the Mine is closed on Sundays.

I don’t have a particular day set for my layout. I just go with whatever.
As a rule of thumb, I only model days of the week that end in “Y”.
