I think we need more choices I have a much longer list of Railroads.
Post if yours does not apear and for fun I will figure the statitics of railroads posted. IF you model it include you own fictionally named Railroad.
N scale, mostly UP, HO- CNW. I am currently working on the HO, so i picked CNW. the N layout is collecting a little dust at the moment. [:D][8D] tough choice, i’m a HUGE UP fan too![:D][8D]
As Yogi Berra (I hope I selled his name right) said, “Its de juva all over again.” I think we need a favorite railroad poll, DCC help, and a posting photos instruction topics as stickies. A new seems to pop up about every other week. I mainly model the Southern Pacific.
Primarily i model CP but I throw in some CN and a bit of electric traction for giggles.
CBQ…HELLO HOW COULD YOU FORGET SUCH AN IMPORTANT RAILROAD!?
Freelanced railroad that is a jointly owned RR by BNSF/UP/TPW known as the WPG
Right now in my area of east Tx we have UP,SFBN,and KCS.So I am purdy much modeling them all.In HO scale I have more than enuff track for the job at hand.I think 1 25lb box of track 33 switches, and another case of track coming in the mail this week.
CB&Q
A fictional museum named the West Radnor RR Museum - we have a mix of equipment including C&NW, NYC, CB&Q and even some CSX (assumed to have been recently donated). The museum is loosely based on the Illinois Railway Museum though there’s some stock they don’t have - we have a set of C&NW bilevels but hauled by an Erie-Built rather than their F or E units.
What about the Milwaukee Road?
PRR, Ma&Pa, and the Maine Two Footers.
Enjoy

Other…
I’m leaning towards the Skunk.
How about more of the fallen flags? I bet a lot of people model them and, except for Conrail, there weren’t any to choose from. I model Chessie System with some pre-Chessie C&O and B&O. How about Norfolk & Western, Western Maryland, Pennsylvania RR, NY Central etc. etc. According to Frank at the LHS, the current railroads are always the least modeled. According to him, sales of Chessie System models are far more popular now than during the Chessie era. I think its like that old saying, “Absence makes the heart grow fonder.” Look at those who model steam. Except for UP, they are all fallen flags.
Of the above, I model the NYC. But it’s nowhere NEAR my primary road. Those include (in order of importance) the NKP, P&PU, TP&W, C&IM, IC, P&E (NYC subsidiary), GM&O, and “other” (single engines for interchange with the ATSF, CB&Q, M&StL, C&NW, PT Co., RI and IT)
Every poll should have an “other” category.
ROCK ISLAND !!!
what about the reading, lehigh valley, central railway of new jersey?[:D]
I model the SP in the Texas area along U.S. 90 from El Paso to Houston…chuck
More slections needed and multiple choices. Also an other might be good. I model several different roads. I picked UP but I could have selected a few others.
RMax1
HO NYC in the late 50’s. I am considering having a PRR track as an interchange because I like the looks of the PRR Loco paint jobs. That way I can have a PRR loco hanging around.
