I generally mix a ton of different roadnames together[banghead] Since I see this everyday, it makes more since with the models[:)]
Should have said mixed railroads together, but basically it’s Rio Grande standard gauge steam, with a lot of Espee thrown into the mix. Also, I have ‘borrowed’ locomotives from WP, C&S, C&O, Pennsy and GN. Makes for interesting consists.

Burlington Northern here.
With some GN, NP, CB&Q.
Long live the BN!
Thanks for replying
Norfolk Southern, with run through’s of CSX, BNSF, UP, and KCS.
My roster is generally BN with some bnsf, some csx, and some union pacific.[wow]
Trains rule![:D] and nascar is a close second[:)][tup]
I have my own industrial shortline that interchanges with CR and CP.
Jim
Like i said eariler, There are a lot of different things going on on my layout. I even made my own railroad[8D]
Freelance but with real operators making an appearance under the open access regime out here [:)]
I can’t vote, 'cause there’s no “OTHER” category. I model the NKP, NYC, PRR, P&E, P&PU, PT Co., TP&W, C&IM, CB&Q, M&STL, IC , GM&O and IT. Why are none of these large roads on this poll? (OK, besides the Q?)
Ray B.: Pennsylvania was also on the list. None of the others were, though, from what I saw. As is usually the case in a poll like this, many names were left off. It has been asked before, so why not put an option for “other” in the poll?
Basically, I model UP from late steam to the present (mostly because I like their big steamers, so I’ve pretty much stuck with what I started with). I also have a mix of railroads which I have run from time to time, but I think those that I have run are all on the list.
The main thing is to model what you have fun with!
You forgot other again.
N&W and Virginian in the 50’s here.
Of the list above, I picked the PRR. But I also model the Ma&Pa and the WW&F plus a little free lance.
Enjoy
Paul
There are some railways in the cold bit above Chicago , just a shame they are not in the poll !!! CPPedler
I model UP, SP, and ATSF in the 1940s-1950s era.
I model the Toledo Terminal so I can have an oval and have the PRR, NYC, C&O, B&O, DT&I, WAB, NKP, AnnArbor, D&TSL, TA&W on my railroad and be prototypically correct.
Rick
Sorry, none of theabove. Soo/CP
Steve
There is an other Category. It’s right beside mix road names together. It says : Mix roadnames together/ other. Im going to ask again using different roadnames, so look out for that[:D][^]
I will start to Model The McCloud River RR. On my new pike. I used to model the Southern Pacific on my HO. Need to covert to N scale for space reasons.
My main interest is Union Pacific, just love the big steam and open western scenery. However, like many modelers I also mix in other roads.
I have my own fictional railroad, Deere Valley & Western and use John Deere equipment for that at present. DV&W also interchanges with ATSF, SP and WP along with the UP.
This gives quite a variety of motive power and rolling stock and makes the layout seem ever-changing.
After the current layout is replaced, I hope to add more steam power such as cab forwards, 2-8-8-2’s, 4-8-4’s and some diesel switchers. I am keeping my eyes open for some unusual equipment that the DV&W can pick up from the scrappers to overhaul and use on its lines.
