Heu guys!!! i need to ask you your opinion?? ok here it is i was planning on building a 4x8 with a 36x80 backwards L . now yesterday i was offered a 31x48 layout for some Ho stuff. so i was thinking on accepting the offer and building a 4x8 layout and having 2 layouts modeling New England on 1 and somewere else on the other. what should i do??? thanxs in advance. Tim
That depends on what you want. You get something quite different with the two options. What I would prefer is of no relevance. It is your railroad. Do what you want, not what your think you should, or someone else wants. You are too good a modeler to compromise.
Model 2 different locations & connect both of them!
You know, if you have the room of course

I agree with CP. I am connecting my old layout to the new layout with a HUB module and a module from my club. That will take my 9x8 and 4x8 and turn them into a 9x20 bohemoth. The layouts will be seperate but 1. Both will have their own operations, connected by operations over the Maynard Branch, the prototype I plan to model for my HUB and club modules.
I picked a writen plan and found it had some nice points
like a small plywood section that sounds great when the train hits that section
if you like I can find some of the big ones I love them
