I am the happy owner now of 3 of these beautiful high side Weaver PS2CD hopper cars painted in CNW green. One came with 2 rail trucks and I had to get 3 rail Weaver trucks on Ebay. Now I don’t know which size and type of screws to use to install the trucks.
Also has anyone used any other 3 rail trucks under the Weaver hoppers and how did it turn out? I don’t want any trucks that make the car sit up high.
I emailed Weaver last night asking which screws to use for my PS2CD C&NW hopper cars. They emailed back with we can sell you two screws plus shipping from their place in Ill.
I replied with I’m not going to pay for two screws to be shipped 300-400 miles when if you would just tell me which screws they use I can drive 4 miles to the hardware store and buy them.
EDIT: I finally called them and they looked at the box. #2 by 3/4".
