What the Resident Crazy O Scaler has been up to

As I have been away (unemployment bites) the workbence has been fairly busy over the past few months.

I discovered the “fun” of handlaying switches, using a #6 jig. So far, there are 20 lefts and 25 rights for the new version of the Stonycreek Valley.

After switches, I built, painted and weathered a Central Locomotive Works SD-40-2.

Then the “fun” really began.

It seems that the O scale stuff coming onshore lately has the speed of the Starshi[p Enterprise. Of late, I have been throwing out the vertical twin drives and replacing them with CLW, All-Nations, or Weaver drives.

As soon as I can get into my Photobucket account, I’ll post pics of the projects, the SD-40-2, the BL-2 and slug, the RS-27 (an MTH shell, All-Nation drive, Overland fuel tank, and a pile of brass shapes) as well as my turnouts
