ok so in about 3-4 weeks im starting my new layout but i dont have a clue where to start for tools that i will need all i have is the track and the corkboard as for tools not quite sure what to get have looked at micro mark and seen some of the tools they sell if anyone could point me in the right direciton with tools do’s and dont’s that would be greta im looking at the track straightner and the track laying delux but not the tube thingy which ppl seem to dislike, any pro’s and con’s would be great.
I made a yard stick tool. Use the straight edge to keep the track straight. Used the 1" incraments to drill 1\8" holes for different radius turns. (18",20",22", 24", 30"ect…) Stick a nail in one end for a pivot point and a pencil in the desired radius hole and draw your curves like a big compass.
Sharp exacto saw or rail cutters.

Drills for feeder wire holes
Use nails if there’s a chance your going to change the layout around,If not, a thin layer of caulk or liquid nails works great for track and roadbed. (liquid nails is pretty permanant) DON’T glue you switches down.
Good luck! Keep us updated.
