Anyone have any good tips on the canadian ?Any rountrips combining with US trains? Connection points etc. What not to do? All help appreciated as i’m planning a cross Canada trip and would like to make the big circle.
How much time do you have foe your trip? It would be easy to spend a week in Vancouver BC with connections with Seattle. The Empire Builder thru Glacier Natl Park makes a great trip. Hope the forest fires out there can be put out before you go. I have not heard of any interruption to the EB. There was a problem in Kamloops BC on that route. Enjoy your trip!
Thanks for the info.Plenty of time,ha ,i’m retired.
Since you have time to travel, I would get a copy of the Amtrak & Via travel guides. Let them help you find a hotel convenient to the station. Let them help you find Gray Line or other city tours that will pick you up from the hotel. You can travel thousands of miles & let somebody else do the driving! Also, you have time on your side should delays force bad connections between trains.
Have fun on your trip! Let us know how it goes! Maybe by the time you get back the site will let you post some pictures!
