I got a superliner dining car and coach in phase ivb off my amazon wishlist from my mother in law and a copy of “The Corn Belt Route” from my mom which was a very good choice and totally unexpected.
AS others will sometimes tell you- ANYTHING can be converted to DCC…All you have to do is get the CORRECT decoder! {with or without sound}

While I got no big ticket items it was the best Train Christmas to date! First about a week before Christmas I was at my LHS and was stunned to find 3 Athearn Blue Box 54 foot covered hoppers for $6.95 each! [Y] Bought some wheels and Kadee couplers and I was a happy man.
Under the tree, my daughter bought me a 3 DVD collection called Great American & European Railroads. Great DVD collection if you love steam!

My wife got me a box full of stuff from MB Klien.What I do a few weeks before xmas is put all the stuff I need on the wish list in my cart.Then I let her go though and pick out what she wants to get me.This way I am still surprised and the items are very much needed.So I had over a 100 items listed.I got alot of vehicles; people’ and 7 different structures kits.Enough to keep me busy all winter and longer.Santa was great this year.Will post pics soon.Bob
My wife got me the lump of coal a few years ago but the lump on the rail trucks is great!! Love the flamable signage too.
Santa actually brought me a train this year. It was a gift from my wife and it is the lead engine in the Amtrak 40’th annaversary train that came to Seattle in October.

I’m surprised ole Santa didn’t have a heart attack fulfilling the wishes of all you Model RailRoaders.[:-^] [swg]
Well last year we were in Hawaii at this time of year. I think Hawaii must be a “No Train Zone” as there was nothing train related under the palm tree out front.[ip]
This year we stayed home and Santa came through.[G][:D] I got the following, plus a $100.00 Gift Certificate for PWRS just down the road a few Kms. Santa babe informed me that PWRS showed a Sunset Selkirk in stock on the computer and by the time she got there to buy it, it had been sold. [sigh] Oh well my birthday is in January so ya never know.[:-^]
Lots of lucky train guys this year. For those that had to reel in their spending this year, we have probably all been there for whatever reason at some point of our lives. Things will get better.[:)]
