Going to Rapid City, SD. Next month, is there a railroad line that runs though Rapid City? If there is, where would the best area to train watch? Thanks for any help[8D].

The only Railroad up there is the DM&E.

Yesir, the Dakota,Minnesota and Eastern,they run a few trains a day.
Just check Mapquest it will show you where the RR lines are in any city you desire. [:)][:o)][:p]

I’ve been told the DM&E is very watchable near Deadwood.
smalling60625: DME doesn’t get very close to Deadwood, maybe 25 miles away at Whitewood. Any train that goes throudh Whitewood also goes through Rapid City.
