What type of surface should one use

when butt gluing two pieces of sheet styrene? I plan to use Testors plastic cement and I don’t want the glue to stick to the surface underneath the two parts.

Harry–

I’ve had good success with just ordinary wax paper. But you have to kinda/sorta hunt for it at the supermarket, it’s kind of hidden between the GladWrap and the trash bags, LOL! If you can’t find wax paper, aluminum foil works really well, too.

Thanks, Tom. Ironically, last week I asked my wife if they still made plain old wax paper. She picked up a roll for me, but I didn’t think about using it for this. So I’m good to go.
