I for one hope to accomplish Something on the layout. Need be finishing the Display case front, or some scenery along with starting the second layer of the layout. I will also be doing some Fishing I hope. But mainly the layout. Also hoping to get some primer on some locomototives I have. But For Saturday May 28 I will make it to Walthers and pick up a few things.

Installing a short section of perimeter drainage around the NE corner of my house. That corner, down in the basement, became wet during a particularly nasty rain storm this January, and I found that the previous owner had used perforated 4" PVC at that downspout. I dug it all up today, plus a 6 cu ft pit about 10 feet away, and filled it with clean round pea gravel after I lined the hole with newspaper along the sides (bottom is open to the sand below). I covered the gravel with more newspaper, partially backfilled, and will have to get the pipe and fittings tomorrow and fini***he job.
If things go well, I intend to have my second main loop track laid tomorrow…no turnouts, so Code 100 and cheap latex caulk all the way. [:D]

As for my weekend activities, putting down some ballast and remounting a couple of switch machines. Other than that, just running some trains and hiding in the basement from the heat.

Ill be tearing up my layout my old one and prepareing for the new one im still working on, it summer for me i was out of school since may 20th, ive been sleeeping pretty much realy. but this weeked i hope to accomplish more
On the layout I hope to finish a model church. It’s an IHC and from the box, appeared to be a model or a wooden church. But it’s a stone church and so I have been working on it since last weekend. The painting is very laborious (the cheaper the kit it seems, the longer it takes to paint.)
But on the other hand, my wife has two art shows coming down and I have to build some painting racks to hold them. I also have a lawns to mow, and I have to tear up a 20 x 20 section to plant a vege garden. It will be a full weekend I’m afraid.
Saturday: Looking at topics on the forum. Helping others with their hobby problems if I can. Working on my layout. I’ve got all the old landscaping and plaster pulled up, now have to collect it all and dispose of it. Ditch in the backyard for that. Excellent solution.
Sunday: Looking at topics on the forum. Helping others with their hobby problems if I can. Working on my layout. New landscape base to put down. I have 5 gallon bucket of joint compound I found laying in the road couple of months ago. Ain’t gonna argue when it’s free. Spend some time at my sister’s home for a Sunday barbeque. My brother-in-law is one of the best cooks around. Not gonna miss that. Work on the layout some more.
Monday: Work on the layout all day. Joint compound and plaster to build landscape forms and base for roads, streets, that sort of thing. Anybody interrupts that, they’re gonna be on my black list for sure. No Christmas card this year.

There’s a section of the 1:1 back yard that wants to go from rough to fairway. (No, I don’t golf.) I’m painting the trim on the subway station walls at Penny Lane, and I’ve started painting DPM’s Front Street Building as well. Surprise sunshine today means I may just have to go out for a ride on the bicycle, too.
Saturday… Help spit roast a lamb and drink too many beers.
Sunday… Go to Church and pray for fogiveness for the sin of gluttony from the day before.
Monday… PLAY WITH TRAINS!!
Cut the grass, drink beer.
Paint my GP-38, drink beer.
Do some more wiring on the layout, drink beer.
Start cleaning out the basement, drink beer.
Watch the Indy 500, drink beer.
Watch the Coca Cola 600, drink beer.
Go to brother’s house with the family for BBQ, drink beer.
Then after all that , I think I might have a beer or two.
Do wiring and beer drinking mix?
Only if you drink AFTER your done.

Saturday: Work on layout and do something outside, try to sneak some beer out of the refrigerator, and make some music.
Sunday: Work on layout.
Going to Lowe’s to get some lumber, stanchions, and brackets for my around the wall benchwork for the new layout.
And will go see a movie or two with the wife and kids!
And go to a friends house for dinner on Sunday!
