You’re looking at a built Cummins, probably with twins. (These can make even the best Diesel Dynamics PSDs look a bit slow…) Looks like the infamous “Black Dodge” (hint: look at www.smokinya.com – subtle URL, no?)
Many of these trucks have ‘smoke switches’ which intentionally intensify the unburned-smoke thang. Foxworthy et al. may have commented on this (and, if not, probably should!) It’s theater.
You see smoke like this at tractor pulls, too – and I might add at lawnmower pulls (does 750hp out of a 3-cylinder Kubota start to interest anyone?)
Yes indeed, you COULD put it on rails, with some care, and yes, as jruppert indicates, it would then be a ‘high rail to hell’. Wouldn’t have too good a factor of adhesion, though…
