WHAT YOU SEE IS NOT WHAT YOU GET

I purchased Bachmann train set 01131. When I opened the set, it did not contain the train set I ordered. I have e-mailed Bachmann and talked to them about this. Bridgette Wallace, customer service manager, does not care.
If I ordered a box of cereal from them, today, it would probably be poisoned.
After checking around with different dealers, I have found out that ALL the sets that have “The Explorer Southern” item number 01131, have a black 2505
engine with green cars. I have also found out that, whatever you order from Bachmann, you better check to make sure you are getting what you ordered!!!
I am a retired engineer from Southern RR and worked with the green 722.
So, Buyers beware…

What!?! A model railroad company that puts out incorrect paint jobs, numberboards, and road names for specific rolling stock?!? Say it isn’t so!!!

Unfortunately there is still somewhat of the old “they’ll never know the difference” kind of thinking at some of the model manufacturers. It always pays to do your homework, because sometimes they don’t.

I’m sorry to hear that you got taken in. Perhaps a paint job is in order?

Well, Bachmann sure made the naughty list today.

I was just saying the same thing to myself. Someone started the *@#$! Bachmann domino effect…

Where are bachmann products made anyhow?? Is it the good ole USA? India? China? If it’s overseas, they probably see difernt colors than we do. Easter

Did you pay by credit card? get on to your card supplier and get your money back!
I’m in UK so don’t know what consumer protection you have over there… here the goods would come under the “Trade Descriptions Act” and (possibly) the Sale of Goods Act"… whatever… if you didn’t get what they advertised (and they don’t care) you can probably get your money back though your card… and Bachmann will have to pay for retrieving their goods… or you can charge them storage…

Umm…

Unless the add had that tiny print that said “Items might vary at supplier’s discretion…”
I which case you just got dumped with the junk they couldn’t off load.
