whatever happened to the Bachmann Spect. 0-6-0?

I haven’t seen these in catalogs anywhere; are they even still in production? I was going to use one for an On30 conversion, but can’t find one. I saw a few at trainfest in milwaukee but I had no funds (gahh! Humbug!) [:(!] What’s the story? I hear they run like swiss watches (this is the spectrum dockside we’re talking about, not the old smoke-equipped ones).

Any thoughts?

Cheers,

-Chris

Bachmann’s web site doesn’t show an HO scale Spectrum 0-6-0, but they have the standard line 0-6-0.

They also have a Spectrum 2-6-0 in On30 scale that would perhaps be close enough. Stock number 40183, painted and undecorated. Micro-Mark sells them for $84.95.

They went out of production a couple years ago.[:(] They seemed to be really good sellers, so I don’t know why.

The Spectrum 0-6-0 was out of production for a few years, but is back now with DCC onboard.

Micro Mark does not have them right now. Caboose Hobbies has them under pre-order. The shipping container from China is probably not here yet.

Did not check other online companies or ebay.

Besides the HO 0-6-0 tank engine, the new HO 2-6-6-2 with the vanderbilt tender is still not at any outlet. Hopefully they will show up in the same container soon. Also announced but not available is the replacement 2-8-0 in the Standard line for the Spectrum 2-8-0.

Trainworld has been advertising all of these engines for a couple of months now, so delivery should be soon.
