YES!!!
I placed an order 12/30. I got hold of Steve. Said they were in the process of updating their software. Was told to call back a few days later, never got through. Dropped messages through “order status” received no reply.
I saw the very same items at the Louisville, KY train show on Saturday. If I hadn’t placed the order–or knew of its status–I would have bought the items yesterday.
Steve
I heard of Hobbies for Men, but not Cheap Trains. I usually try to use the mail for the payment as that will get the USPS behind you.
Internet Trains used to have some kind of disclaimer on the web page saying something like most items available in 3 to 5 days. If that was true, all orders would go out in a week or so, not six months later if ever…
Most highly respected Customer Service groups keep you updates on back orders and will cancel you order and notify you if the item is not available any longer.
Have they ever advertised in Model Railroader???
Internet trains has been an advertiser for a long time in MR, to at least some time back in the 90’s.
Thanks for the reply. If they still advertise in MR, they should also be concerned about the poor service that has been reported.
The issue may be mute since most of the advertising is now direct on the internet and not in published magazines.
Has anyone who was waiting got their orders or have any information on a date they will be shipped?
Thanks.

I have no information on when mine will be shipped. My status is still from 1/02/2007.
According to the message from Internet Trains on the other Post about Internet trains, they are working on the problem.
Sure seems like they could give you and the other customers an answer when you do reach them on the phone.
Hope you get this resolved.
Many have responded to this and two other threads about this problem.

My order should be arriving today via UPS. Thanks Internet Trains for resolving the problem!
