Whats in your tool box?

I’m just curious as to what tools you keep in your model railroad tool box and anything people have found to be useful in their quest for the ultimate railroad.

Let’s see.
In my MR tool box I keep my Dremel, pin vise, several small pairs of pliers, tweezers, paint brushes, a couple of knives, KD’s, spare parts, bottles of paint, glue, new purchases I’m hiding from the wife, pens, pencils & various other items I’ve forgotten about…

This SAME subject is going on in another thread - do we really need another one?

Same old same old over and over again!

True Bob!

But in fairness, the other topic only asked for “cool tools”

Dave’s asking what you have in your tool box, same but different.

Gordon

Sorry Bob, I searched the topic and nothing came up. Just because you’ve seen it doesn’t mean everybody has seen it.

I searched it again and sure enough now it came up. Maybe I spelt tool wrong or something. Let this topic die.

I find these a must:NMRA “N” scale gauge, tweezers, small needle nose pliers, small cutters,no. 00 to no.2 Phillips screwdrivers, small flat bit screwdrivers,a magnet,a magnifier, tube of white grease(lithium),model lubricating oil, soldering kit, multimeter and test lamp. These are what I feel is essential for caring for my locos and other equipments.
In my basement shop,I have a Dremel kit, bench saw, scroll saw, drill press and a few other power tools along with an array of other hand tools like files, sanding equipment, heat gun, wood clamps, etc.I’m a tool nut…so I feel one can’t be over equipped.

I don’t have a “model railroad tool box”. Mine are on my workbench, in drawers and in a cabinet. No need to put my stuff into a box.
