whats this set worth

I am sorry if I posted this in the wrong place…

I have a MTH American Freedom R-T-R train set that has been sitting around collecting dust, and I am looking to sell. I was wondering what a fair price would be to ask for it. It originally went for $299. I found it on the MTH website for more info. http://www.mth-railking.com/detail.asp?item=30-4071-0

It’s in real good condtion and all pieces are with the set. Although the box fell apart when we opened it. We purchased extra track, enough to make a figure eight.

OK, so that I now found the proper place for this post. Does anyone have a guesstimate of what I should ask for this set?

Where are you looking to sell it? On ebay or choochoo auctions.com? I would list it with a reserve price of at least half the value that you have in it, people may not give you what you want due to tuff economic times.

I am listing it on Craigslist at the moment for $200. Too much?

There was a set that sold for $164 on eBay last week. That’s not too much different than your asking price.
