Whats up with the Atlas moderator?

Ok, on the Atlas forums the moderator needs to approve your registration Im fine with that no big deal. I have treid to join for about the past two years with 2 diffrent emails, everytime it says I will recieve a email telling me how to finish the registration, well guess what I have never got the email[%-)] I checked my spam folders no luck there… Any one else have this problem?

Yup, same problem. Not sure its really worth trying to get on since I frequent this forum so much.

The Atlas forum is a pretty friendly place, so I can’t imagine them not signing you up.

<>You might try an alternative email address to see if that helps. As long as whatever address you use is good, you can use it to sign up. Then you can change it in your profile later to your preferred address, if you want to.<>

It took what I thought was a very long time to get my e-mail (a couple of months I think), so long I did not bother going back.

Haha ya its been a about 10 times and no response, my first try was in early 05… Anyway I just wanted to join for all the N scale related posts. But oh well

I went through the same problem a few years back when I joined the Atlas forum. Sometimes it is related to the e-mail server that you have. If Atlas thinks your email server is an open relay (I think that’s the correct term) it will not reply.

I had to email a member of the Atlas forum and have them contact the forum admin. Once that was completed, everything worked fine.

Huh, thats funny. When I signed up I was on in 20min. They sent my Email back real quick.

Well Jeff we just must be unlucky… If most other people get in… Not sure what kind of email I have.

I had no trouble…just like Phil, got online OK and registered, in fact, I receive their email newsletters that I checked off to receive. Of course Phil and I are both over 40, so maybe they only want the older bucks. LOL

Same problem. I’ve tried twice, once in the last two months but with no response. I figured it must be something in my computer, however this is the only place I’ve had this type of problem.

A couple of thing you might want to check:

  • Do you have ‘pop up’ programs running with your browser? Disable them while you try the signup.
  • Your ISP/email server - Do you have any filters set?

I have been on the Atlas Forum for some time and have used my Hotmail ID for registering. I got a reply back in about 20 minutes…

I, too, have been unsuccessful with the Atlas forum. That’s OK, can’t be much of a forum if they can’t even handle the sign-up basics.

I just tried to join. It took about 1/2 hour to get the email and now I am all set.

I couldn’t get in either. The back problem was all it took. Once I was able to turn it off the leather was gone. In fact the Atlas forum was mild compaired to the stuff that goes by. All in all it really didn’t take long to get it to stretch to fit.

Same here. I’ve tried three times with different 'puters, different email addie. No luck.
