I change my screensaver Edit; oops I meant wallpaper. every month or so. I find I get inspired by others models or real life photo’s. This photo of the Royal Hudson just North of Vancouver is the one I have had on the Mac for a few weeks now. I love the rugged mountainous West Coast flavour of the pic. It is what I am trying to achieve on a part of my layout. Looking at it makes want to go and attack my stacked foam and try and turn it into this.
So what is your current screensaver wallpaper and why?

Darkness[X-)]
Actually, I haven’t taken the time to pick one yet…
Screensaver or wallpaper?
My wallpaper is the night shot of NS Heritage Unit 1067 - Reading. On both monitors.
My screensaver is blank screen, so that my displays go into power save mode right away.

My wallpaper is Shay #4 from Cass Scenic. Screensaver? Is that the thing where my wife slams the laptop shut on my fingers?

PS. Dang Brent, that’s one pretty picture!
Brent, nice pic for sure.
Screen saver just blank, but will tend to change out wallpaper once in a while for variety. Right now it’s not even train related. I have my 1st grandchild (6 mo old) peering right at me.

Warms my heart each time I see this 'lil cutie
My favorite train one really depicts the Chessie era and the mix of power and paint used.

Actually running a consist quite similar now, but have added a GP40 in B&O blue.
This…
Why?
Because its one of my favorite photos…I took the photo after a severe thunderstorm.Location Bucyrus,Oh.
The CF&E train is rounding the NS connector on its way to switch Transco…

My BN SD90/43MAC, why? to be honest I’m not entirely sure.
Screen Saver,is Leonardo Da VINCI’S,inventions, constantly, moving on the screen
Wall paper, Is one shot of the,The Bona Vista ,model railroad,a steamer passing,by an alley,with a kid,riding a bike,with his,dog running along side…
Cheers,

Since I’ve got a computer at work and one at home, I’ve got 2 different wallpapers. At work, I’ve got this under-construction shot looking in from the carfloat as the engine approaches.

At home, I use a picture of the engine itself, a Bachmann 0-6-0T.

Since the engine is used at the carfloat terminal, I decided to name the short line that handles loading and unloading the carfloat the Westport Terminal Railway, in honor of our late friend, Wolfgang Dudler.
I’m doing much like Randy, no screen-saver so that the computer goes dark and soon goes into power-save mode. Otherwise, just a grey scree; I like to see the icons readily. I have enjoyed some of my own nature or model photos for a few days, but haven’t done that in over two years.

My screen saver is photos, roster shots of my engines, each one displays for a few seconds, then changes to another.
The desktop is below, my MMID F units with an aggregate train traversing Bob Motts FCSME modules

Wow! Karl. That’s is one nice looking layout. Good Choice.[tup]
Mine is from my other hobby–mountain biking.

Very cute Bob.
I have a similar one of my son. Now he is fourteen I occasionally still put it up just to get a reaction. It doesn’t last long, that’s for sure. Within five minutes of him coming home from school it’s gone.[(-D]
Kurobe Gorge Railway EDS13, traction orange 762mm gauge Bo-Bo center cab motor.
The alternative is either the ‘Darth Vader’ EMU set (posted back when by Mark Newton), JNR ED161 (grunge maroon 1-Bo+Bo-1 box motor) or one of several gymnasts in action.
Why no steam? Because there are steam posters all over my office walls. As for the wallpaper, it doesn’t stay visible long. My computer switches to power saver mode after 300 seconds of inactivity if I don’t switch to sleep mode first.

Mine has nothing to do with railroading. It’s a photo of the sun seen in hydrogen alpha light that I found on the web.

What else would my wallpaper be other than a ‘critter’. It is a Nelson Aggregate Company 25 tonner (I’m guessing at the size), very similar in appearance to the critter in my avatar. I have just spent the better part of a half hour trying to post my screen saver to this post but alas the procedure eludes me.[D)]
Every time I look at it I say to myself that I have to get to work and use some of the brass sheet and spud drives that I have in stock to build another one, or two… . However, before starting any more new projects I have more than a few that need to be finished.

Not train related whatsoever. Pictures of the grand kids in wallpaper mode and random pictures of the grand kids and pets past and present.

For Playoffs Only then back to some TRAINS!
