What is your experience with the presision craft models’ n scale PA2 PB2 with factory installed “Lokosound”? How go was the running performence? The sound quality? I was looking at starting a new layout and getting an ATSF version.
BNSF,
I have an HO PCM F3 A-B that I bought last year. Other than the incorrect 2nd headlight on the NYC shell, the LokSound decoder in it sounds great, runs very well, and pulls like a champ. I’ve only heard good things about the micro-Loksound decoders.

Precision Craft is Broadway Limited’s higher quality product line, so they should be very good models. The level of detail on PCM is better than BLI and the LokSound decoders have smoother motor control than other brands. I have the HO scale Burlington California Zephyr A-B-A set with LokSound decoders and they are very smooth runners.
The only thing I don’t like about them is their weak horn, and everyone says you have to have a LokProgrammer to change it. Since these are the only LokSound equipped engines I have, there’s no way to justify spending over $100 for the LokProgrammer just to change the horn on this set alone.
