What’s your favorite modern diesel made after 1990 ?.

Mine is the 8-40 CW Dash like those I see around my area so much.

Any Shay Climax or Heisler. Because diesels SUCK.

A 60 ton ALCO-GE-IR. And, yes, this is modern when compared to my 1870-1900 steam locomotives.

I’ll have to agree with several others and say the SD90MAC. Although, the SD70MACs in the BN Green & Cream paint would be a close second.

An Alco S1 switcher…at least it’s “modern” for my layout era. I think Proto 2000 came out with it in 2001. [:)]
