Well, because of BLI, I now have one less locomotive on my wish list:
NYC 4-8-2 “Mohawk”(Click to enlarge picture)
Course, it’s an L4 and not and L2. [sigh] I’ll also have to wait till next winter before I can check it off the list. Oh, well. It’s a start in the right direction. [:)]
Atlas already makes NS Dash 8s. Maybe you mean a Dash 9 ? If so, that would be on my list. Kato makes NS SD80MACs. You can still get some, if you look around. I don’t think they made a straight SD80 though. PCM has NS swicthers with DCC and/or sound coming out at the end of 2007. They keep slipping the date .
I thought I was the exception. Then I got to thinking…
I would really like to have a JNR EF15 class 1-Co+Co-1 catenary motor. OTOH, I don’t NEED it, since I have enough motors to power my scheduled trains with several to spare. Still, it would be nice as a contrast to all those modern Bo-Bo-Bo jacks.
That’s it! I’m never going to have track space for more steam than I already own, and feel no need to enlarge my modest roster of diesel-hydraulics.
(Isn’t it nice to have a really firm grasp on motive power givens and druthers!)
I only have two engines, so I want a lot…
Bachmann 2-8-0 with sound
PCM Big Boy (FDT of course)
BLI MT-73 mountain #7002
Athearn challenger
BLI Mike
BLI TTT 6/7
BLI Cab Forward (Waiting for FDT)
BLI 4-12-2 (when they make it)
I’m just getting started so I’m not sure what ALL I would want, but right now I would like to have is a PRR switcher, a really nice Shay 2 or 3 truck for my mining setup and since I grew up on the Road leading to the Horseshoe Curve and have always admired the K-4 Pacific, one of those or more and even the PRR GP-9 they replaced it with when they pulled it out for refurb.
Oh, and if anyone knows where to get one, not that I’ve looked real hard, I’d like to have a dummy Alco C-430 and a dummy GP40-s, both Conrail
I would love a second run of Kato AC4400CW in BNSF Heritage II in N this time with the right fluro yellow colour. Or a Dash 8-CW also in BNSF made by Atlas or Kato although I seems to like Kato more and more these days because they also make functional ditch lights. Also wouldn’t mind some of the newer locos such as the AC6600 in either BNSF or Union Pacific or CSX or NS in N.
I’ll make mine a little big wish…A reliable drop in DCC ready GE 44 ton swithcher. I don’t know if Santa Fe ever ran them, but that would be my line of choice. Always wanted GE 44 from the first time I saw one in an O scale catalog as a kid.
Edited to add: I just had a strange mental image of one painted in a double ended warbonnet scheme
All the high number SDs that are never made in High Nose variants and B Units and all the low number Geeps and SDs that got converted to low Noses… and any B Units…
Specifically I wish the Atlas trainman RS32 was in their platinum line.
One of those Canadian things with the “Draper Taper” would be nice. (There’s a pretty good kitbashed one trundling round in England).
