Mine would have to be, HHHhmMMMMM. I’d have to say, die cast trix hot metal car, forty car work train, mostly scratch built from walthers kits. I guess all of my trains are prized.

everything!!!
If I was going to pick one piece of equipment to be my most prized, I guess it would have to be a 40+ year old Rivarossi 4-4-0 HO locomotive. Hasn’t run in years! It was given to me about 25 years ago by my Father-in-law who was the one who got me interested in getting back in the hobby about 30 years ago. It was his most prized Locomotive and he wanted it have a home where it would be kept and valued. My Father-in-law is now 92 years old and is still quite the character!
I’m going to have to say a Revel ACL SW100 that I got from my grandfather.
a 2-4-2, and 2-6-2 i kitbashed and turned into cab forwards, so my railroad could see if the “increased visibility” helps alleviate grade crossing accidents.
Lionel 225E I got for Christmas.
New to my Uncle in 1940, passed to me.
Still have it, still runs fine.
Second, ScaleCraft SP Mountain, circa 1939.
It would be this U boat, I am not sure if it’s a 33 or 36.http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b157/joeyegarner1963/DSCF0017.jpg
Oh boy! Umm, i guess my engine would be my proto 2000 WC SD45 # 6505.
My favorite car would , i guess for detail be my WC High Cube Genesis boxcar.

I think there’s a tie in my favorites. So, my favorites are my Bowser Challenger, my Genesis SD75M, my Rivarossi 0-6-0, my Kato SD80MAC, my Tyco C-630 (with one of those cheapo "Power Torque"s), my Spectrum Doodlebug and my Athearn Hustler, because it’s simple things in life like the Hustler you treasure.[:)]
Don’t have a favorite car.
My Kato SD40-2s, i have done work to them…
I have an Oriental Limited Powerhouse Series Little River 2-4-4-2 that I’m really fond of. It took me 17 yrs. to get my hands on one!! [:P][:P][:P]
However, I have to agree with 06archerd about liking “everything”. Even the Christmas presents that I would not have bought for myself. At least the thought was there!! [^][^][^]
The first locomotive that I got which was not a left over from my fathers stuff.
AHM (Rivarossi) 4-4-0 Virginia & Truckee “Reno”. Lets see it has to be about 40 years old. It has real brass trim. I was in 4th grade and thought that Virginia meant the State of Virginia. I spent hours pouring over maps trying to find out where the railroad was and where or what Truckee was. Too bad I was 2400 miles off. Since I couldn’t find it I sort of started my own freelance V&O type.
I’ve seen several of those. Did some magazine publish a “how to” for that or something.
Brass HO scale Norfolk and Western Class J #608. First loco I ever got. I rode behind the real 608 many moons ago. Got to sit in the engine and blow the whistle as she backed down to the train on a Sunday morning in Norfolk. It can’t have been half a century… can it?
It’s my Atlas ATSF U23bs and my Stewart Locomotive Works ATSF Theater Car

A hard decision - so I thought, suppose my house was on fire and I had time only to grab just one. I probably would pick my Fleischman model of a DB Class 103 loco. It reminds me of a very enjoyable vacation to Germany about 20 years ago with my wife of only a couple of years at the time. A very close second would be my Lionel F3 that I have had since childhood.
My dad’s ancient Mantua mike. It was his favorite. A Lionel General. It was my first locomotive and was given to me by my dad. A Westside C-16 #268. It was my first HOn3 loco. My mom paid for half of it. A Balboa HOn3 C-19. It was the first locomotive that I bought all by myself. I cut an awful lot of grass to get it. Sn3 OMI C&S #69. It is simply beautiful and one of the sweetest running locomotives I’ve ever seen. I hold on to close and take care of it because if I ever need my arm and leg back I can sell it.

Probably my Hornby 3.5in gauge live steam “Rocket” - George Stephenson’s 1829 loco. They only made the Rocket for a few years (it wasn’t a big seller) but my grandfather bought one for me when I was born - since then it’s been sat in the attic mint and boxed, only run a few times (the seals on the removable gas tank have expired). Recently I managed to pick up a pair of switches for it (tricky to find now) - they also made another add-on track pack and a coach to match it, the track is reasonably inexpensive but the coaches go for crazy sums - if I ever see one at a sensible price I’ll probably buy it!
Mine would have to be the 3 Kato SD38-2 locos that I have painted for my private Iron Belt pike. Then I suppose my Walthers steel mill-related cars would be next in line, since they probably get used the most and are out of production [at least temporarily].
That would be my brass GN P-2 Mountain.
