Can anyone tell me when the kato kobo engines will be ready? And available for sale? kato’s website has no information available.

So what is a KOBO engine?
At one time a month or so back there was a thing on the ticker that said the C&NW’s were available (although I still haven’t seen mine).
Their October ad said that the DRGW, ATSF and PRR SD45’s would be available in December

As for the AC4400’s, SD38-2’s and F40’s, no idea!
In Decembers edition of Model Railroader ( last page inside) is the advertisement for Kobo models. Down the bottom is “order today from listed website”. When trying to access the site it states page cannot be found. So it appears Kato has jumped the gun, like a like of other companies put the advertisement out and who knows when models will be released. I did send them an email about this advertisement informing them I could not access the site, but no reply.
It is a bit like the Walthers Pullman Heavyweight Observation Lounge in UP yellow, it was supposed to be released months ago them put back to November, but last week the latest release date is now “unknown”. After all some of these models have already been released in different paint schemes, so how much does it take to spray some more different colours?
When trying to budget or buy these new release models for gifts, I now hesitate to place an order as the release dates are no where near the mark, even years out. Why should us modellers place advance reservations when something bigger and better and less expensive may be released in the meantime and put on the market earlier. Companies put new realeases back and dont even have the decency to even keep us up to date. I thought that was the idea of the Internet, but some companies dont evem bother to update websites for months.
I know I am compaining but I get sick and tired of waiting when I order new models.
