I just bought this book from Truman State Univ Press. http://tsup.truman.edu or phone 660-785-7336.

This book covers the western US (roughly - west of the Mississippi River + Wisconsin but without Missouri). As with Volume 1 it is an interesting reference, and tells what happens to selected towns and cities after they lose rail service. There are several listings for California, Washington and Colorado.

Softcover is under $30 including shipping and well worth it for railfan historians.

Ah, under Pennsylvania. I have not visited any of the Pennsylvania segments listed in the book. I originally stumbled on this first book when doing a web-search on the PC/PRR line to Smyrna, DE. I had found the same remnant the author photographed…
