Where are the CONRAIL SEEL-9B engines?

Does anybody know what happened to CONRAIL SEEL-9B engines #6479,6428 & 1691. I think they whent to CSXT or NS not sure?

It’s 3 for 3 for… CR 6479 is NS 3404, CR 6428 is NS 3370 and 1691 is NS 1449, unless they have been wrecked or sold off since last year.

The NS 3370 has been serving duty in the Altoona helper pool…at last look, it was still in Conrail paint.

Ah… SEEL9B, now there’s a symbol for ya. Then there was its predecessor, BOEL.

Oh ya If some of you doesn’t know BOEL means Boston to Elkhart.

Does anybody know where is CR engine 1691 or NS 1449 is now?

Where does your interest in these three locomotives come from ?
Were they on a DVD ?

nanaimo73. No it wasn’t on DVD it was VHS CONRAIL cabrides CP426 productions by CONRAIL’S Conductor Ernie Lyons.

The NS 3370 is teamed up with NS 3369 in Altoona helper service right now…I caught the consist in pusher service around Horseshoe Curve today…both the 3369 and 3370 are still in Conrail paint. This set was a head end helper set on a long and heavy Westbound 11K General Manifest today. Another helper set was on the rear of this train, consisting of Conrail-blue 3380 and NS Horsehead liveried 3335. Not too long ago, the 3370 and 3380 were teamed up together.

I think I saw 1449 at Burns Harbor, Indiana not too long ago. There’s usually 4-6 GP15-1s there, usually in Conrail paint.
