Where can I find technical drawings?

Dear All,

I am looking for technical drawings or CAD models of Budd Streamlined cars (not motor cars) and heavy weight passenger cars. Anywhere between 1940 and late sixties. Road names: Santa Fe and Lehigh Valley. Other road names are OK. I guess I can modify the data to match my needs.

I have several volumes of the Randall Pullman and Budd drawing books. These days they may be your best chance of getting accurate information.

Here’s an example:

The volumes I have are for eastern roads. You would have to do some searching to see which volumes covered the Santa Fe or Lehigh Valley. The Santa Fe volumes might be scarce and therefore a bit harder to find.

I’ve seen individual volumes go at prices higher than $100 especially for popular roads like Pennsylvania and such. The Iron Planet prices are a bargain!

Are there particular cars you’re looking for? I have Car Builders’ Cyclopedias from 1940 and 1953 that MAY have some of the equipment outlined in them.
