I said it in the subject I want on, I would really give a lot for one of these. They’re listed as Baldwin DT-6-6-2000, although in HO, I happen to model in N. From what I gather they are transfer engines, can’t seem to find into on what exactly that means. I know I would be using them as a switcher type ordeal so they would probably be very unprototypical but I wouldn’t car lol.
But I am wondering about some differences. Namely, the second photo shows the long hood bending up to meet the top of the cab better. I like the look of this much better than the plain flat long hoods of the first loco. And better yet, it seems E J & E sold 26 units (might be they’re hole roster of them) in the mid 60’s to mid 70’s, so it could still be prototypical for me to have them, my time era is in that general area. It would certainly be a uniquie looking engine to have along side my other planned motive power of U/B23. I also just second looked the pics and realized the second engine’s long hood actually bevels down to a shorter hood height than the first engine pic. I said that backwards earlier.
