Hi, my name is alex and this in my first time posting here. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get some HO scale SD9 roof top fans. I heard that details west made them but I have had no luck finding them.

You didn’t list your scale on your profile so I’m assuming it’s HO.
I’m very sure that ONE OR MORE of these companies makes EMD 1st Generation locomotive radiator and dynamic brake fans:
Details Associates, Details West, Cannon and Company.
Go to a hobby shop that has the WALTHER’S CATALOG. Looking at the colored page tabs on top, go to the Locomotive Super Detailing section. You should find some fans there.
Details West and Details Associates fans are not very expensive–under $10. The metal Cannons are $9 and up unless you buy the packets that come with only 3 fans.
Please don’t hesitate to post any questions. Lot of good guys onboard here. (and ladies too as Mookie and Big_Girl_4005 make occasional posts!)

I’m an SD9 fan… does that count.[:D][:o)] Oh, you mean a fan that goes on an SD9. I agree with AntonioFP45.

You did not state what scale. I have sixteen extra SD9’s that I purchased undecorated and only used four of them. The rest are used surplus and I have used parts from several of them so the fans are surplus.
You could have some if these fans are correct.
Thanks guys , but I have decided to get the life like SD9 that has some pretty good looking see thru fans and is just a hell of a lot better than the Athearn one I currently began. Once I am done with the project I will post a couple photos and show you guys.
