Where did the post go?

A short time ago today there was a posting by another forum member called Friends I made…

It now appears to have been deleted-oddly enough after my reply.I saw nothing wrong with the origional post or the replies, which leads me to ask “WHY”? There was no foul language used,no names mentioned,so WHY"? I’d like to know what happened to this thread. There are re-accuring issues here that need to be dealt with by the mods so that a person can post without fear of crude and rude behavior. There must be a way of dealing with these people once and for all and that’s your job.[2c] Bob

Stuff disappears around here all the time. [%-)]

I bet this one will disappear soon.

Resistance is futile. You will be “assimilated”.

Its the status quo or you go. Get my drift?

This is a Free, no charge to belong forum. We can always take our trains and go play some place else. [:)]

Bob and Rotor,

The aforementioned thread was in reference to Mark’s “Do I understand ebay bidding procedures?” thread that, unfortunately, had to be deleted because it had deteriorated so badly. Explanations were given to the OP of the threads for the deletion. Unfortunately, not everyone gets to see that.

Tom

Rotor,Driline-I totally agree.

Richg-for the most part I have.

So, What happens to Red horse?

is he still among us?

Surely Red Horse didn’t blow his cool, did he?

I couldn’t imagine that. He’s too laid back.

Rotor

[#ditto]

Yes, Jesse is still with us.

Tom

Thank goodness. He’s a real encouragement and is one of the hardiest people on this forum

I deleted Jess’s thread because some of what he had stated was wrong. I see that one member was very quick to jump into that thread and attempt to smear the moderators, and that was an indication to me that the thread was not going to yield anything of use to the forum. It was a no-brainer.

We try to delete offensive or inflammatory posts when they can be surgically deleted and not affect much of the tenor of the thread. But when a thread starts off on the wrong foot to begin with…well, you can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear.

Jess, I feel, did have a legitimate beef about one aspect, and we have been dealing with it privately…as we should.
