I have found Blacken it, Patina it, and what ever the other one is but I haven’t been able to find rustall. So where do I find it? Saw it on dream plan build episode 8,9,or 10 where the guy weathered a custom girder bridge with it.

Would you by chance be looking for weather-all?
HMMMM I didn’t know there were two different types. Any clue as to which one might be easier or have better results?
Mike
Does weather all leave a rusted appearance on plastic as well? I saw in micro mark that they have this product but it mentions weathering wood and no plastic. Any ideas or has anyone used this product.

I’ve used a product called Instant Rust. I got it at Michaels arts and crafts store.
This is done on a styrene kit, Atlas’s chord bridge model. I’ve also used it on metal and on plastic rolling stock. Instant Rust is a 2-part application. First, you paint on the “Instant Iron” which is a suspension of very fine iron particles in some kind of liquid. After that dries, you paint on the rusting agent. After an hour or so it’s all rusted out. It looks like rust because it is rust.
Instant rust seems to look the best. I can’t seem to find the stuff though.
I’ve got the GC Laser rust stuff and it works really good. It’s just a one part liquid you paint on and let dry. You can do several coats for more rust. Smells like a vinager based product. I found adding a drop or two of alcohol into a small cup of it keeps it from beading up on the plastic. Lets it flow and streak better.
If you can find the Instant Rust, go with THAT.
Where do I find GC laser rust stuff?
Instant rust can be found at Dick Blick

Normally, I don’t have the time to deal with coupons, but my wife has pointed out some really substantial savings at arts & crafts stores. Both Michaels and A.C. Moore have some big-discount coupons. A.C. Moore, in particular, has a 40% off of one item coupon pretty much every week. You can find it online and print it out. Even better, Michaels will give you the same discount based on a competitor’s coupons. So, you can print the Moore coupon and take it to Michaels.
For me, that comes in real handy when picking up something like Envirotex or Instant Rust, which are in the 15-40 dollar range, depending on which size you choose.
