The bologna is oldfashion/Ahmism/ german style and is a 1/2 inch slab of beef bologna with swiss cheese onion and sweet pickle. It is awsome also they have a broccoli soup that is real good in the winter time. Sides are curly fries and deep fried calliflower. The town has just about every other building a grolls furniture show room and the G&R grill and a post office thats about all there is to Waldo. To get there from SR 23 take the 98 exit and at the end of that exit is an intersection turn left go through the under pass and it will bring you to the main drag of waldo turn left and at the traffic light is the G&R grill it is a sports/country bar that you can safely take a family to. They are open late on friday and saturday and are usaly very busy closed on sunday.

I am in Locust Grove, GA - about half between Atlanta and Macon on I-75. Locust Grove started out a railroad town on a Southern RR mainline. Great train watching - the Atlanta - Macon main is about 5 minutes from the house - 30+ trains a day.

Originated in Rockford, Ill. moved to Long Beach, CA as a teenager.

Pacific Palisades, between Santa Monica and Malibu, on the coast in sunny Southern California (but unfortunately without attics and basements in this part of the country, so I’ve taken over a bedroom!

You guys have been busy!

We just got back into our house…last night about 10:00pm. Ice storm knocked out power, my beautiful, 9-month pregnant wife, and 2-year old daughter, said we’re staying with friends with power (and water). We’re on a well.

First on the Honey-Do list: New generator

We are actually SE of Ann Arbor.

I lived in New Baltimore most of my life! Port Huron is ‘just up the road’ (about 45-min).

PS I think you got the spelling right! Detroit is a riot (waiting to happen) but not as big a riot as Lansing, MI.

I have been wanting to go there. I hear something about Waldo monthly. I’ll get up there and let you know what I think. That lunch plate doesn’t sound very healthy, but it sounds tasty.

And it is beautiful country, too!!!

Nashville, Tennesse - deep in the mid-south.

Formerly served by the fallen flags Lousiville & Nashville Railroad (L&N), Nashville, Chattanooga, & St. Louis Railroad (NC&StL), & the Tennessee Central Railroad. But CSX is about all you see now.

Best regards, Bob

Underworld, I try to get to Cabela’s everytime I’m in the area. I also hit Bass Pro near Auburn, MI if I’m over that direction.

I roundaboutly worked in the candy manufacturing business for a number of years and have been in the peanut butter cup factory shooting video of the production. I want to say that plant has the capability to turn out up to 6,000 two packs of Reese Peanut Butter cups per minute.

Wes Definately get to Waldo for the Waldo Burger! Everytime I go to Columbus I have to stop on the way back…one to eat and afew for the road!!!

Oh good Lord, does that mean the Chief may be coming to the Great State of Ohio !

Oh yeh, we live in Willioughby, Ohio, 15 miles east of Clevelandl

This would make a good mash-up using Google Maps: plotting everyone’s self-identified location.

Luther,

Do you see any Norfolk Southern trains around your area? What about Central Of Georgia?Norfolk Southern runs through Stuart FL on FEC tracks (runs east of West Plam Beach and Fort Lauderdale)to Miami FL at least once a day. Another train that runs on the west side of I-95 is CSX to Miami, also has the Amtrac run and Tri-Rail Commuter Service on that track.
