Is it in Illinois?
Wood Siding CO.?
[(-D]
Hole-in-the-Wall, Johnson County, Wyoming ? [swg]
Birch run Michigan or maybe Wisconsin
In a restaurant…
Restaurant/Brewery
My suspicion is that it is a “G” guage train located on the second floor or on the front (?) pourch roof of a home. Geographic location unknown. Note the window frame at the bottom of the picture and vinly ships lap siding siding on side of house. Also note sunlight appears to illuminate it from above and to the right. The railiinl outside of the train is a piece of track attached with phillips head screws (4 visible). The beige above the window is unknown.Picture taken about 10am or 3PM.
The train emerges as shown, then enters and makes a loop inside the bar. It is a must see if you visit this town.
I air-brushed out the name on the next pic. Blue Streak: The streets in this town do not run north/south & east/west, but follow the tracks. Data shows the time was 12:59.
Would that, by chance, be 12:59 Mountain Time? I’ve seen similar architecture in some Colorado towns. I don’t have a clue, but is this in Colorado?
OK, I got it with a few minutes research based on the above photo - because that is the only way I was going to get it. Having done that, though, I’m not going to give away the answer - I’ll just say that it turns out that there’s nothing in this photo that was needed to answer the question. Think about it . . .
Colorado for sure. I’m not sure about Mountain Time though. The camera may have been on Central Time. I sure wish I would write things down from time to time.
I have a feeling it’s in one of the places you and I talked about, that you had traveled to. Judging from the hill in the background, it’s not in Iowa.[;)]
Just on a hunch, I’m gonna say it’s the same place as this shot…
Chris: I don’t recognize the town from your perspective. Paul, Norris and others, good guesses. Here is the untouched photo. Barbara & I enjoy the ride on D&SNGRR every trip west. All four three steam trains in CO & AZ make for a good vacation.
Uh-huh…me, too! I think Bob should have airbrushed another name. But I wouldn’t have gotten it without the photo.
Chris, if you ever have tooth problems while in Illinois, I’ll introduce you to our dentist–his screen-savers have a lot of Colorado photos similar to yours, but also including natural wonders and ski shots.
Deadwood, SD? - al
The answer is Silverton Colorado. The bar is called the Silverton Brewery at 1333 Green Street.
