Where is WPF?

I just got back from Huntsville, Alabama that is, and was looking for WPF. Obviously there has been some great miscarriage of justice for all I could find were many old threads with a slightly after mid-night post time from Sunday morning that have now been locked. I’m out of the loop. Should I dare ask this question and maybe bring up some start trouble, which I have no intention of doing?

Moderators had to step in and delete a lot of stuff over the weekend due to the trolls.

Trolls again. Maybe we’ve got to move Photo Fun to midweek, and spend the weekends working on our layouts instead of sitting in front of the computer.

The less said about it, the better.

Yea, I just read part of the thread about making a better forum and gathered that there was a serious problem. I don’t understand the mentality, or lack of it, of some people who insist on doing these sorts of things. That’s all I’ll say.

Ray

It suffered D.B.T. (Death by Troll)

AGAIN???[soapbox]

I just found it - it’s on page 4 or 5 - maybe 6 by now - along with a dozen or so old WPF’s that some one brought back![?]

Yes the WPF where locked due to trolls. I didn’t even get to post my work this Weekend. [:(]

The troll brought them back and posted insults in them while pretending to be me. To say that I was angry is a massive understatement.

WPF? Why are you looking for weapons of mass destruction on a model railroad forum???

Well at least the WPF across the street is functional this weekend.

It’s a shame that such a wonderful hobby has to be spoilt by so few.

Too bad this bboard software doesn’t support an “ignore” button. Life would be sooooooooo much easier.

Since said troll has made several threats of violence, maybe his account is being kept open so he can be tracked down and reported to the authorities.

-34 posts?? I thought that was his IQ. Mike

Wow. I’ve been taking a much needed break from cyberspace, but found some unfortunate email notifications in my inbox when I checked it today. It looks like I didn’t miss much. I’m sure the local sheriff will have the problem dealt with come morning. [C):-)]

I’ve signed up on a few forums that don’t permit free email accounts to be used, but that would prevent a lot honest members from joining.

Boy, what did I miss? I noticed yesterday that the WPF thread was on page 3, with many older ones ( 2006!) on page one and wondered why. What ever happened to the good old days…

I’m losing you on this one. Everyone had to have an ISP to get on the internet (unless you’re leaching off someone else’s wifi) and every ISP has e-mail accounts available. It’s quite common for forums not to allow sign-ups from free accounts like Yahoo and HotMail to prevent exactly what has been happening here. How this keep even a small number of people from signing up?

Everytime I see this guy on here I note the ISP but it’s different with every new user name.

Ken.
