Looked it up in an old book called OHIO’s TROLLEY TRAILS, by Harry Christiansen, Transit House, Inc., 24455 Lake Shore Blvd., Suite 1610, Euclid, Ohio, 44123, copyright 1971. Info on pages 132 - 139.

The 14-mile Tiffin, Fostoria & Eastern Electric Railway was formed in 1898 from the assets of the earlier Tiffin & Consolidated Interurban Ry. and Tiffin & Fostoria Electric R. R. Tiffin also had a local system which was originally operated with horse cars.

"It became the Tiffin & Fostoria in 1923, and on January 1, 1925, was taken over by the [Toledo, Fostoria & Findlay], along with two modern steel cars. The line paralleled Ohio 18 all the way.

"The city lines were retained by the Tiffin & Fostoria, but a dispute over street paving ending (sic) service shortly after the interurban was sold. There were 4 city cars at the end.

“The company owned two amusement parks, at Bascom, where the shops and power plant were located, and in Tiffin. There were two freight stations in Tiffin’s history, an early one on Washington Street, and later, on Perry Street. Early equipment was unusual and varied. There were 4 and 5, open double-truck, double-end cars; a double-deck car, No. 6, built in 1891, by Pullman-Session. It was the only double-deck interurban anywhere, when it later rolled on the 14-mile Fostoria-Tiffin stretch, lasting until 1906. 9 to 13 were early steel interurbans, and 14 to 24 were city cars. The two Niles steel cars, 25 and 26, came in 1915. TFF&F (sic) put these cars on Toledo runs, and and an old Lake Erie, Bowling Green & Napoleon car shuttled between Fostoria and Tiffin.”

Christiansen says the entire TF&F system was abandoned on September 30, 1930. He also mentions that two of the 9-13 series later became freight motors. The book has several low-quality photos of equipment, including pix of the dou

Also, depending on the timeframe and service, it could also be an interurban which ran between communities before busses put them out of business.
