Where the post go NS?

I asked a train related question relating to NS and UP being lashed up and the post is gone . Where did it go ? Surely it did not violate some rule ? If it did would they not advise me of the infraction ?

Not always. You should always be notified, but it doesn’t always happen.

Who moved it ? Why would they move it out of a general discussion without asking me first ?

A moderator moved it to a place where he felt it was more appropriate and would get you better answers.
