Where do you buy your 91% alcohol??

Any drug store, grocery store, or big box that carries rubbing alcohol usually stocks it in several strengths. Typically, the most common strength is 70%. Next to a larger shelf space for that, you’ll often find the “good stuff” 91%, but usually with a smaller shelf space alloted to it. Often the labels are the same or very similar, but they will indicate the % in print. The 91% will be a bit higher priced.

Specifically, check in the pharmacy section of Wal Mart, where all the medicine, toothpaste, shampoo, etc. are located.

In some areas in Canada only 60% alcohol is available, 90% is available, in some cases only from a pharmacist. It has something to do woth it is an ingredient in narcotic production.

I’ve got a bottle of “Equate” 99% alcohol at the local Wal-Mart with no problem. I think I had to ask for it, it may have been behind the counter. Strong stuff!

[;)]Usally most CVS< Walgreens, Wal-mart, ETC. carry 91% rubbing alcohol. In a pinch, Denatured Alcohol can be used too, but very sparingly!
