Where to Find............

I am searching for any HO equipment marked for the MBTA (Boston). I know that walthers has the 85’ streamlined cars and at one time a f40ph although it looks like the f40 is no longer in the online database. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I couldn’t find the trainline f40ph in MBTA paint. Would it make sense to use this to pull MBTA cars since they share track with CSX?

I don’t know of any MBTA F40s available right now, but if you can paint, than you can make your own MBTA F40.[:D] All you need is to find an undecorated F40 or strip the paint off a decorated one (which seems to be the only choice right now) and buy a sheet of Microscale MBTA decals (http://www.microscale.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=MD&Product_Code=87-751&Product_Count=&Category_Code=).

I cant paint if my life depended on it, and would hate to ruin a finished model Which leaves me with the possibility of remotoring a life like and hiring someone to paint it localy. I found this on ebay but am worried for many reasons and have not bid.

A local custom painter, Boston area, did 1/2 dozen units for a LHS. I believe there is still one in the showcase. If interested in contacting the hobby shop, contact me by email.

I don’t feel soliciting sales or hobby shops is appropriate directly on this forum.
