No, I’m not as dumb as the question sounds. I know you can buy white glue just about anywhere. But the last time I bought it, I got it in a one gallon economy jug and that has lasted me about 4 years. Now I need some more and I can’t find that size anymore. I’ve tried the big box stores, Lowe’s, Home Depot, and Walmart and all they seem to have in the one gallon jugs is the yellow carpenter’s glue which isn’t good for scenery application because it doesn’t dry clear. Do they still sell good old white Elmer’s in the big jugs or will I have to bite the bullet and by it in smaller sizes?
I’d check teacher supply stores in your area, or if you have any local art supply stores. I got mine at my local Home Depot, but that was about a year ago.
Try an arts and crafts store like Michaels or A.C. Moore.
Keep in mine white “school glue” is water soluble when dry. Oridinary white glue isn’t. Same name but different uses.
i get my white glue in the giant jug from my local Staples…
I just bought a gallon at Lowe’s a few weeks back.
My local Ace hardware has it in the large jugs.
Can you say ‘large jugs’ in this forum?? [:-^]
As long as the topic stays stuck on glue.

now that is funny- made my day (I’m easily entertained)!
Just bought a gallon at Home Depot for $12 two days ago.
Thanks for all the replies. It appears that the problem with finding the gallon jugs may be a local one or I’ve just been unlucky enough to go to those stores at a time when they were sold out. I’ll keep looking as long as I know it’s still out there somewhere.
You’re just down the road. Worst case drive into Columbus. I am sure the Home Depot on Hamilton Rd. or the Lowes at Easton will have some. I bought mine at the Lowes by the Polaris Mall.
