Well, If the coming of SPRING has anything to do with it… he’s probably outside cleaning up the yard and mowing the lawn! Summer is when we spend more time out in the nice weather and less time buried in the basement with our model railroad projects!
Hey Ed,
That is one below the belt. Ken is just facing up to a cold winter in Christchurch NZ.
I forget about seasons here. Always a pleasant 32 to 33 degrees Celcius (about 90F), and only a matter of whether it’s raining or not.
While it is cold in the South Island Ken can get on with that beaut layout he is making.
Well thankyou!! [:I] Slow progress, I may need next winter too[:D]
Ken.
Randy has not been posting much on the Digitrax Yahoo group where he was a frequent poster, so he must be off doing something else for now.
If I remember correctly, I believe Randy mentioned that he was putting things on hold as far as his layout was concerned because he and his family were going to be in the process of moving into another house soon. My guess is that is probably at least part of the reason why we haven’t seen much of him on the forum recently.

Just letting you know, I’m still alive. It’s been a rough year, and not goign to get much better anytime soon. Right now I have no layout, and no room for one, not even a 2x4 foot shelf. Still not sure if I want to sell all my stuff off or hang on to it, not super keen on modelling strictly Reading anymore, atleast not the East Penn Branch - or if I even want to stay in HO or switch to N. I still help out with a friend’s N scale layout, so I’m not leaving the hobby (I haven’t ever before, really, even when I had years with no layouts - 39 years and still going). I’ll be back, once things all get settled down, probably on some new venture. Like I said, the whole East Penn idea is starting to bore me anyway, double track just isn’t my style, Thus my idea a while ago of having the Reading buy the LNE and using LNE locations with Reading equiment, but then every time I see one of those Southern (region, not railroad) layouts in MR, I think I want to change locales completely.

Glad to hear that you are still with us here on the forum. There were a number of questions I had wanted to pose to you, but I cannot seem to remember. It seems things are in upheaval, so I guess the most I can say is best wishes for the future.
Randy,
We do miss having you around. I hope that things get better for you in the near future and you’ll be able to join us here regularly again.

There is karma!!!
Believe it or not, for about the past five days I have been meaning to post a thread with the original question because I was wondering the very same thing.
Randy, for better or for worse, what you can be happy with will come. Whenever that is, you will be most welcome to continue right where you left off…even if that means a whole nuther layout idea.
I hope that nice T1 isn’t getting rusty and dusty!? Is it likely to have a place in the future?

I opened up this thread expecting to see a wide shot photo of the Timmy’s Immodium train show with next to a million people and my job was to find Randy in the crowd. (Been there done that.) I would have started at the Digitrax booth and worked a circle pattern from there.
Glad so see you’re alive. Sorry to hear of your train woes. Miss you on the site.
