As I start to build my layout, my dilima is which Sanat Fe sub division do I model. I like the Ark City KS sub division, however, I also like the La Junta Sub division. Advantage of the Ark City sub is smaller and shorter sub, it runs from Ark city KS to Oklahoma City OK, travel time is two hours by car/train, only one decent size city btwn Ark City and Oklahoma City. Advantage of La Junta Sub is its the race track of the ATSF. Has lots of tangent trackage and rather flat.
Disadvantage of Ark City sub, only one decent size city. Disadvantage of La Junta Sub, several decent size towns between Newton KS and La Junta CO.
