Which of the default MSTS routes looks ,more like your in the Eastern USA Or Canada? I downloaded some Canadian rialorad locos and cars and want them set in a place that looks canadian.
You can pull a sample of Maple Leaf Tracks Kicking Horse Pass off the Canadian Pacific Website and see for yourself. The demo is free, and there is a bunch of other CP items for MSTS on the site.
I recommend this add-on as the curvature and profile is far less “roller coaster” than the Marias. Furthermore it allows running very long trains, about 90 cars or so with helper sets.

There are also some free canadian setting routes on Train-Sim. If I remember correctly Hoodoo Pass is a CN route.
Kicking Horse Pass is highly reccomended, I was just running a 112 car unit coal train over it, it’s absolutely wonderful. Cut in the six helper SD40-2s, put it in notch 7, and take her to the summit…
