Please state your opinions on the Bachmann 60’ Doodlebug versus the Walthers 60’ Doodlebug (Gas/electric).
Are they the same? Pros and cons?
Thanks for the help.

Evening Jim. I have a Spectrum bug in Great Northern. Runs well. I use to pull my
Oscar and Piker. (Pullman green.) It aint prototypical but is fun.

I too have a Spectrum Doodlebug, which ran well on my old layout which was DC. Since my new layout is DCC and I haven’t gone throught the undertaking of installing a decoder, I haven’t run it on my new layout. I don’t know anyone who owns a Walthers Doodlebug, but will watch this thread for further posts.
Try checking past posts on this subject. It has been addressed, in detail particularly with regard to how prototyical in application each model is, several times in the last few months.

I have never seen the Walter’s model “in person”, but IIRC, it is an older prototype than the Bachman one.
