Moving around and reattaching some HO gauge plastic and wood buildings, shrubs to plywood platform (painted)… Which would be best glue to use for this? In some cases, I will have to remove the “old glue”…Thnks in advance.

But you best not better be eating Eds cookies because you have about 15 seconds until it flashes. One dot per corner of a building would probably be fine.
P.S. And do yourself a favor, put the cap back on right away when you’re not using it or Beacon Quick Grip will not work for you anymore.
P.S. Again. The glue does melt foam by the way, I’m not sure about paint as I have never tried it.
P.S. Too much. Polyseamseal is the best all-around change your mind some day adhesive and holds like a dog if you have a better part of a day to wait for it to dry.
I ain’t doing PS anymore but Alex plus clear is a cheap latex caulk. It will hold anything for as long as you like and you don’t have to wait for too long for it to set up.

I use white glue all for attaching buildings to wood or foam and for any scenery material. It is easy to clean up and if you must remove anything the building will pop right off.

I use white glue if I know they are going to be permanent, but when I’m not sure, I use silicon sealant. It sticks surprisingly well, but is easy to pull away later.
second on the white glue, at least it will pop off / scrape off / wash off when you don’t want it there any more …not a big chore
my choice would be aileens tacky white glue for that little bit of extra ‘stickiness’ when it’s still fresh, working time is fairly long
I favor Elmer’s white glue for gluing figures and buildings in place. I don’t glue my 18 wheelers and other trucks in place because I like to change their location from time to time… There’s very few automobiles on my ISL because it a indusrial setting where there are more trucks then cars. I decided to model all my industry employee parking lots off layout.

I don’t glue buildings down leaving me free to light them at a later date and change lamps if needed.
For trees, shrubs in fact any vegetation and things like fences power or telegraph poles and many other small things my go to is PVA glue straight or diluted depending on what I am doing.
I don’t glue down trucks,buses or cars to the road I don’t have many so like to be able to move them to dust the road when needed and some times move there position

Never heard of Quick Grip but so far, like most of the other replies, I’ve found white glue or dilute white glue does the trick. Low tech and it works.

In My honest opinion, nothing already mentioned, has the unique capability’s of Loctite GO-2 glue and I have used many in My 79yrs. which I have spent 69yrs in HO modeling. Shock resistant, water proof, etc, drys crystal clear, Cures to a rubbery consistancy, that can be peeled off the surface, when no longer needed. I have yet to find something that I can’t use it on. And if You want an even stronger adhesive,use Loctite GO-2 Gel, also crystal clear and cures the same. Less rubbery texture:

I model on pink foam, not plywood. I use diluted white glue for shrubbery. I don’t glue down structures. Smaller items like figures or fire hydrants get attached with Aileen’s Tacky Glue, which hold well enough but still comes off easily when needed.
I changed over from white glue to Neodymium magnets to attach my structures. I still use Elmer’s All Purpose White Glue for flocking and bushes. I make sockets to plug in trees and power poles. I make everything easily removable because Old Shaky Hands Mel can screw up anything very quickly while working around on my layout.

Where ground cover and other scenery is in place, it’s sufficient to hold structures in place, too, yet usually allows removal if necessary…
Most details, vehicles, animals and people are not cemented in place, other than a few which require some support - for those, I use Woodland Scenics’ Accent Glue.

I do that also for builings. For shrubs, I use hot glue.
Good to know that Elmer’s works on securing buildings to a foam layout.
White glue, Arlene’s tacky, and plain ol latex caulk, what ever is handy at the time. I have just got some Go 2 , haven’t tryed it yet. But Frank aint lied to me yet.
I would stay away form anything as harsh as TF is suggesting
But; other then ground cover, and a few people that won’t stand,I move my stuff around too mutch to glue it down
