I use Digitrax. I think Digitrax is the best.
When I get DCC it will be Digitrax. It has to be Digitrax[;)].

I have the Digitrax Zephyr and had a DZ143 before I figured out that it had a defect and I have to send it in.
LSIModeler,
You left off Zimo…
Every system has it’s pluses and minuses. Some more than others. You need to clarify what you meam by “best”. Best at expandability? Best at giving you more bang for the buck? Best at the number of locomotives it can run at any one time? Best at giving you that sparkling smile. (Uh…that would be the “Crest” DCC system, yes?)
Presently, I use the Bachmann E-Z Command: A good but limited DCC system. It doesn’t have all the nice bells and whistles of the more sophisticated DCC systems but it was the right price at the time. And the Bachmann can still control 8 sound functions, as well as the lights.
In the next few weeks, as soon as NCE gives the final okay and starts shipping them out, I should be receiving my new NCE PowerCab - which will allow me to liberty of adjusting and tweaking CVs. I’ll be able to adjust the startup voltage and the speed steps to 128, as well as upgrade later to the PowerHouse, if I so choose.
Best? Depends what you want from your DCC system…
