Does anyone make a log cabin kit? Other than the old Lincoln Logs toy kits I don’t think I’ve ever seen one. Check Walthers website, look in their structures section is the best I can suggest.

Your question should probably be, WHAT company makes a Log Cabin kit in HO.

A look through the Structures section of the 2006 Walthers HO scale catalog turned up only one – Guts, Gravel & Glory models’ Schacht’s Shack or Cromwell’s Cabin. Go to the Walthers web site and search for catalog numbers 308-115 and 308-114.

i just looked at walthers and ebay , they both show the model power and woodland scenics (abandoned) log cabins . since log cabins were usually hand built rustic affairs i think scratchbuilding would be the way to go especially if you need more than one given the limited choice available

offers cast resin log cabins in HO, both cylindrical and squared logs. Their online catalog only shows a photo of the squared log version as yet. You may want to order a catalog. I don’t know how they compare to the other products mentioned above. Hope this helps.

YOU do if you study prototype log cabins, choose your twigs carefully and build with patience. Trying a couple techniques in mockup might be a good idea before starting your “finished” project.

I searched www.walthers.com using “log” and “cabin” in separate searches and came up with a bundle of models. Several listed as “not in stock”
