Which railroad do you model?

[:D]Which railroad do you model?[:D]

As a returning newbie, I am confused. These are what kind of scale? Or did you mean brand ?

Tim

If you meant “Which railroad do you model?” the answer is UP and Santa Fe. If you really mean “which scale do you use?” the answer is HO.

I generally use an architectural scale. I do have an engineering scale when looking at site plans.

Or do you mean in printing? It depends on the sheet of paper I’m printing too. I often use 3/16"=1’ so I can fit a drawing on smaller sheets of paper. Some building officials require 1/4" scale.

Since I do a lot of mailing, I have two postage scales, a 16 oz. beam scale and a 5 lb capacity scale for parcels.

There’s a scale in the bedroom for measuring human weight, but it is seldom used.

Or do you mean the famous Muddy Creek Poll Scale for rating the silliness of polls?

Wayne

Here at the house I use the one in the bathroom, it’s like the one my Doctor used to have (he now has upgraded to a digital marvel so I use that when there) it’s maybe forty feet from my layout that’s predominately BN with one each Chessie and Santa Fe power, all in HO. [%-)]

Trainboy

For me it’s the PRR, Ma&Pa, and WW&F. I assume since the original post has been edited, I have missed the confusion.

Yah, me too. I mean the confusion. I model Rio Grande big steam, with a generous helping of SP and a smattering of Western Pacific, Colorado & Southern and Great Northern. Somehow they all wind up in the Sierra Nevada’s of California (don’t ask). Oh yah, it’s WWII, so I’ve borrowed some steam from N&W, Pennsy and C&O. Beasts from the East. What the heck, it’s MY railroad!

[V]Sorry About That![V]

P.S. I Reset the Votes to make it fair
NORFOLK & WESTERN ALL THE WAY!!!

Well darn dude, didn’t you even vote in your own poll? I voted N&W and there’s only one vote.

I ain’t gonna tell ya!!!

Seabord Air Line

I must have come along too late. It seems pretty straight-forward to me. I had to vote oOther because I model the New York Central: early 40’s, steam/diesel transition.

Tom

The great SP of 1946… Steam is better when modeled 3/16 to the foot[bow]
